Building a Well, One Drink at a Time
What's the most you've ever paid for a bottle of water? $2? $5? $8?
A bunch of our friends are getting together to build a well in Africa for 1000 people. We are asking everyone to chip in $85. This is like buying one bottle of water each day this summer. Mmm, hydration.
So drink your refreshing water, and cheers to those in Africa who will soon be enjoying fresh water too!
Let's get this well built! Please join us. Click here to buy your summer water.

UPDATE: As of September 26th, we are at 26% of our goal!
We have been inspired by our good friend Mike Woodard who is cycling across Canada this summer to raise awareness and money for Power to Change's "Water for Life" initiative. The goal is to raise enough money for 60 wells.
Water brings life. Plain and simple.
There are far too many people on the planet that don't have access to clean, safe, reliable water.
Since we don't have the fitness to join Mike on the ride across Canada and we can't outright buy a well, we pondered how we could help in a meaningful way.
We decided that God has given us a lot or relational connections and that we could invite all our friends, neighbours and colleagues to join us in providing for one (1) well. If 100 people each gave $85 we'd have a well.
One well generally provides:
a. Water for about 1000 people
b. Water for 25 years
c. Economic Prosperity for the recipients
d. Access to increased medical care
e. Decreased disease for the recipients

Read about the spiritual impact GAiN's 'Water for Life' initiative seeks to have in a story called "The Child Called GAiN." (GAiN is the humanitarian arm of Power to Change.)
Thanks for considering how you can give generously to this project.
